Josh Neer Video Showing Beatdown Challenge Fight in Gym

Graphic Josh Neer video popping up (and being taken down) all over the internet allegedly shows UFC veteran, wrestler-turned-mma-fighter, Josh Neer brutally taking another fighter to task.

Reddit user New_Pheightz professes to have witnessed the beatdown, firsthand:

I was in the gym. I am by no means condoning what Josh did. I just want to tell the story.

This guy came in to our gym last week for a grappling class and was getting tapped left and right. Got frustrated, said something about “if this was MMA” and left.

He spent the entire weekend harassing Josh on social media about wanting to fight. He then shows up in the middle of MMA class tonight with wraps on his hands calling out Josh.

For the record, the fighter was not KO’d while he was on his back. He was talking to Josh. Once again, not condoning what Josh did. Just getting the facts straight.

The video begins with the fight nearly over. Neer has top-position and appears to be working a guillotine on the 6′ 6″, 270 lbs fighter. The guillotine doesn’t stick so Josh starts dropping elbows like your neighbor giving out miniature Baby Ruth bars on Halloween. The elbows CLEARLY go unchecked and continue for far too long. Eventually a couple other people who appear to have been watching, step and remove Neer from the dazed fighter. Bloody Elbow took the following statement from Josh Neer:

“Basically the guy’s a dumbass and been talking s**t about MMA fighters for a month, on and on. I usually ignore him but this Saturday he wrote me on Facebook the message I gave. He had written 10 messages to me talking s**t which I ignored, but this time I said if you really want to fight come to the gym Monday at 5:30.

“I don’t know what his problem is but he’s a big guy, like 6’6” and 270lb and just acts like a bully. That what he seems like to me, just a bully.

“He showed up at 6:10, 40 mins into my practice. And then I asked him if he wanted to fight Rakim (Cleveland) or me and Rakim is bigger then me so of course he chose me.”
